Martin "Sonny" Hollingsworth, MD –

Specialty: Board Certified Internal Medicine and Pediatrics

Dr. Hollingsworth is an internist and a pediatrician who treats newborns, children, and adults. He received his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Georgia. As he is affectionately referred to by the children in his practice, Dr. Sonny completed internal medicine and pediatric residency programs at the University of Utah. He is dual-certified in internal medicine and pediatrics. Dr. Hollingsworth completed both residency programs in 2001 and began at CopperView the same year. Dr. Hollingsworth has a special place in his heart for adoption, being personally and professionally involved in the adoption process. Dr. Hollingsworth enjoys spending time with his family; he is an avid skier and enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and wake surfing. He travels when time allows with his beautiful wife, having fallen in love with Tahiti and the Galapagos.

Curtis Andrews, DO CAQ Sports Medicine – 

Specialty: Board Certified Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and Board Certified in Sports Medicine

**Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Andrews is an internist and a pediatrician who enjoys treating newborns, children, and adults. He received the D.O. degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Henderson, NV, in 2008. This was followed by a dual residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, which he completed in 2012. After residency, Dr. Andrews completed a one-year primary care sports medicine fellowship in Blacksburg, VA, with the Virginia Tech Hokies. He has obtained dual board certifications from the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics. He loves working with athletes of all ages—helping them return from injury to their desired sport or activity. As an osteopathic physician, he incorporates osteopathic manual therapy in treating youth and adult patients. He joined CopperView Medical Center in August 2013. Dr. Andrews is fluent in Spanish.

Kathy Garcia, MD –   

Specialty: Board Certified Pediatrics

**Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Garcia is a pediatrician who treats newborns and children through age 21. She received her M.D. degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She then completed a pediatrics residency at Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City through the University of Utah. She is board-certified as a fellow of the American Board of Pediatrics and received the Primary Care Pediatrician of the Year award from the Pediatrics Residency program in 2013. Dr. Garcia enjoys gardening, yoga, and hiking. She recently walked the Camino de Santiago across France and Spain in the summer of 2013. Dr. Garcia is fluent in Spanish and welcomes Spanish-speaking families to her practice. She joined CopperView Medical Center in September of 2013.

Vilate Thur, MSN, APRN –   

Specialty: Family Nurse Practitioner

Vilate treats newborns, children, and adults. She received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Westminster College and is board-certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Vilate completed her training in 2002 and joined CopperView that year.

Kevin Cottle, MSN, APRN –

Specialty: Family Nurse Practitioner

Kevin treats newborns, children, and adults. He received his Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Utah and is board-certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Kevin finished his training in 2006 and began at CopperView in the spring of 2007. Kevin is a husband and father of four. He is an avid scouter and serves on his district camping committee as the medical liaison. His hobbies include skiing, hiking, and training for triathlons. He hopes to complete an Ironman soon.

Caroleen Johnson, MSN, APRN –     

Specialty: Family Nurse Practitioner

Caroleen treats newborns, children, and adults. She received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Brigham Young University. She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Caroleen finished her training in 1997 and joined CopperView in 2003. Caroleen had seven daughters before she was able to have her only son. She spends a lot of time driving children to music lessons and soccer games but takes time to play the cello in the American West Symphony and enjoys playing piano. Sewing for her children has made her expand her skills into a machine embroidery business and machine quilting. The most interesting place she's visited? Her grandfather's hogan in Monument Valley.

Meghan Newman, DNP, APRN –     

Specialty: Family Nurse Practitioner

Meghan treats newborns, children, and adults. She received her Doctorate of Nursing from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah, and is board-certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Before completing her Family Nurse Practitioner degree, she worked as an Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse. One of her favorite things about healthcare is getting to know her patients and working with them to find the best ways to help them be healthy. Meghan is married and has two sons. They love to go on outdoor adventures and enjoy camping, hiking, skiing, and mountain biking—basically any outdoor activity!

Elizabeth Borys, APRN –     

Specialty: Family Nurse Practitioner

Fluent in French. Elizabeth is a Family Nurse Practitioner who treats patients of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients. She graduated from Simmons College in 2021 and was accredited by the ANCC the same year. Prior to becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, she worked in several hospitals, in-home care, hospice, endoscopy, and a transfer center. She moved to Utah from Massachusetts seven years ago and is an avid skier and hiker in her free time.

Liane Root MSN, APRN – 

Specialty – Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Liane treats newborns and children through 21 years old. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She received her degree at Regis College in Massachusetts. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Maternal/Newborn for over 12 years. She also has experience with pediatrics as an EMT and, while serving in the United States Navy, was the lead corpsman of the pediatric clinic. Liane finds joy in the delightful chaos of her animal-filled home. Her two boys, two dogs, two cats, two birds, a snake, and a panther chameleon keep life very interesting. When she's not tending to patients or pampering her children and pets, you'll find Liane embracing the great outdoors. She thrives on adventure and exploration, whether it's striking a pose in yoga class, gliding across the water on a paddleboard, shredding the slopes on a snowboard, or trekking through picturesque trails. Liane brings a diverse perspective and a zest for life to everything she does. With a warm smile and a love for every stage of life, she's a relatable and fun-loving presence where she goes.

Jacob Ross, MSN, APRN – 

Specialty: Family Nurse Practitioner

Jacob treats newborns, children, and adults. He received his Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. He is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Jacob finished his training in 2023 and began his career at CopperView that same year. Prior to working at CopperView, Jacob worked as a nurse in Saint George, Utah, working with patients in an acute care setting. He is passionate about mental health, LGBTQ+ patients, and giving individualized personal care to every patient he meets. He spends his free time traveling, hiking, reading, writing, and spending time with his two dogs.

Megan Crookston, MS, PA-C –       

Speciality: Physician Assistant

Megan treats newborns, children, and adults. She received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Pacific University in Oregon. Prior to attending PA school, Megan spent two years working at the Center for Change, a treatment center for girls and women suffering from eating disorders. As a PA, she has a continued interest in participating in the mental and physical treatment of these complex disorders. She joined the CopperView team in 2015. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, making cakes, being outdoors (particularly running, hiking, and biking), reading, and spending time with her husband, kids, and golden retriever.

Michael Christensen, MS, PA-C –       

Specialty: Physician Assistant

Mike treats newborns, children, and adults. He joined Copperview in 2019 after obtaining his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Saint Francis in New Mexico. Prior to his training as a PA, Mike worked in the fields of Psychiatry and Dermatology and continues to feel passionate about those fields. In his free time, Mike loves to spend time with his wife and kids, reading and doing anything that gets them outdoors. He also enjoys playing the guitar, hiking, skiing, rafting, and mountain biking whenever he gets the chance.

Tiffany Park, MS, PA-C –

Speciality: Physician Assistant

Tiffany joined CopperView in 2020 and treats newborns, children, teens, and adults. A Utah native, she received a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Utah and completed her undergraduate studies in Radiology at Weber State University. Tiffany genuinely cares about others and appreciates healthcare for the fulfilling relationships built with patients and colleagues; medicine fascinates her. She emphasizes preventative care and works with patients to address contributing issues, make decisions, and select care plans to provide wellness and an improved lifestyle. Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family, trying new things, exploring Utah, and traveling the world with her backpack via local transit.

Patrick Hewitt, MS, PA-C –

Specialty: Physician Assistant

Patrick treats newborns, children, and adults. He received his Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from the University of Utah. He is certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Patrick completed his training in 2006 and joined CopperView in 2007. He works part-time for CopperView and full-time for South Valley Urology in West Jordan.

Zachary Adams, MS, PA-C –

Speciality: Physician Assistant

Zachary is a compassionate Physician Assistant dedicated to providing personalized care to children and adults of all ages. He holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professionals. With extensive training, he handles both primary care and urgent care needs, ensuring that his patients receive comprehensive medical attention at every visit.

Whether it's a routine check-up or an acute illness, Zach prioritizes the well-being of every patient, providing attentive and compassionate care. He creates a welcoming environment, focusing on building trust and collaboration with families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health.

Outside of work, Zach enjoys hiking and spending time with his horses. He looks forward to continuing his passionate and committed service to the community.

Alexis Snyder, APRN – 

Specialty: Family Nurse Practitioner

Alexis treats newborns, children, and adults. She received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Brigham Young University. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. In addition to a bachelor's degree in nursing from the ER, Alexis has a Bachelor of Science in Public Health. She continues using her whole educational background to provide holistic care to her patients. Before completing her degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a nurse in emergency medicine but prefers her job now, where she can work upstream, with prevention in the family practice setting. Alexis was raised in NYC, but after her family moved to rural Idaho during her senior year of high school, she realized she loved to meet people from a variety of backgrounds. She loves to travel and spend time outside with her husband and three children.
